Microchanneling is an evolved version of microneedling. Microchanneling provides the same stimulation as microneedling with less damage and far less downtime. The key differences relate to how each device administers treatment. Microneedling uses a roller or handheld wand which glides across the skin. This method can cause additional drag on the skin and cause small tears in healthy tissue. However, microchanneling "stamps" the skin with microneedles (actually filaments thinner than a human hair). This method ensures that all superficial punctures are made in an entirely vertical fashion and creates up to 1,000 perforations per square inch. The Procedure
The treatment session usually takes about 30-45 minutes. ProCell Therapies provides the most effective microchanneling treatment on the market today. The microchanneling procedure is performed in a safe and precise manner using a microchanneling device with a single-use sterile head. The head is methodically worked around the face while the applicator tip vibrates, sending the microneedles as far as 4 mm into superficial tissue. This process stimulates keratinocytes to message fibroblasts to enhance your skin’s own natural collagen production. The microscopic perforations in the skin function as microchannels allowing for deeper product penetration, increasing the effectiveness of the topically applied ProCell Serum. ProCell Therapies uses a potent growth factor serum that is derived from human bone marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC). ProCell Serum is quite effective on its own, but when combined with microchanneling, it accelerates healing, yielding even more dramatic results. After the procedure, the skin can be red, with mild swelling, and your skin might feel tight. Although these symptoms may take a day or two to resolve completely, they will diminish significantly within a few hours after treatment.  Because of the open channels to the dermal layer, no products other than the stem cell serums should not be used within 90 minutes of the treatment. 

Recommended Treatment Schedule & Pricing
A series of 4-6 sessions is recommended for best results, depending on the condition of your skin and your desired outcome. Collagenesis from a microchanneling procedure continues as far as three months out from the procedure. Therefore, enhanced results are most often achieved through a series of 3+ treatments spaced 2-3 weeks apart.

Contraindications
While Micro-channeling treatments are safe and effective for most women and men, there are some people who will not be good candidates for these types of treatments. Here is a general contraindication list that should be considered by anyone who is thinking of undergoing Micro-channeling:
● Pregnancy – if you are pregnant or nursing you are advised to not receive any Microchanneling treatments. To date there have been no studies conducted to see what effects these treatments may have on the unborn child, but as a general rule, pregnant women should stay away from any type of cosmetic/elective procedures.
● Diabetes - unstable diabetes patients should not be treated due to problems with healing.
● Accutane or any related acne medication - Accutane or any related drug should be discontinued for a minimum of 6 months prior to undergoing Micro-channeling.
● Active Herpes Simplex in the treatment area - treatment is possible once the outbreak is healed, however it may be advisable to take prescription strength antiviral medication to keep this condition in remission during the treatment series.
● Any active inflammatory skin condition e.g. eczema, psoriasis, infection, rash or any type of dermatitis at the treatment site (because it may aggravate the condition).
